A Trolling idea to do at the work place.

We did this to my boss's boss for April fools day one year and he was on the phone with our tech support till nearly noon. I thought I was going to get fired for this, lol.

I'm new. Could I get 'learned?

HTML and CSS are very intuitive and easy to learn. If you can get a hold of Dreamweaver, it's fun to play around with it's pre-generated templates, and modify them to see what effect it has on the layout. Sites like alistapart, com have tons of short tutorials.

Maybe some subtle oversized background graphic to fill out the empty space on the left and right - especially on wide screen monitors.

    Website Builders

Dreamweaver for the most part puts out pretty clean code, though it's sometimes possible for it to accidentally insert a div inside another or wrap it around another when you weren't expecting it to - breaking the layout and creating confusion. I usually work in live mode, and hope over to code view just to double check from time to time. I love the breadcrumbs of tags it shows at the bottom of the window while you're working.
  5. I've read reports elsewhere that Firefox is working on a version for Metro. I'm a little confused here - I thought Microsoft got sued years ago for monopolizing which browser users can run on Windows.

    Do you own an ereader?

I've got a Lenovo tablet, but honestly, I've never used it as an eReader. I think I've developed a short attention span being on the internet so much, and prefer to read content via web pages in short bursts vs. reading through a book.
  7. I've been using this browser for a couple months now and have been very pleased with it. It's no where near the memory hog that Firefox was and has all the extensions I was using on Firefox as well. There are also a few other plugins you can add on to block persistent tracking from advertisers as well. For the most part everything seems to run smooth, once in a while when I click a SERP listing on Google, sometimes it will get stuck in a redirect, or sometimes certain page elements won't display because they are being blocked. But otherwise, a great browser.

    NEW CSS Design

Been trying to get back into CSS here as well, more specifically - get up to speed on CSS3. There have been quite a few changes since I last used it in 2007.

Any demos of it available for the public yet?

    just wondering

Have you looked on Amazon.com or Newegg.com? You could probably find some used ones on there as well and get free shipping. Microcenter.com is also a good place to shop for computers. I used to live right by their retail store and shopped there all the time.

I'll Start This Off! Your Favorite Console?

Haven't bought a gaming console since 1996, but I would have to say my good old Sega Genesis was my favorite. Nintendo 64 would be in second place.
  12. At least 8 hours a day, often more. Although I've worked in internet marketing since 2004, so it kind of goes with the job. It is kind of crazy though.

    Your Web Browser

I use SRWare Iron, its a more secure version of Google Chrome (strips out some of Googles tracking). Prior to that I had been a diehard Firefox user, but over the years their memory leak problems have gotten entirely out of hand, and they have never really fixed them. My browser was crashing multiple times a day. The other thing I really love about Chrome is you don't have to keep restarting the browser when you install extensions. And over the years the Google Chrome extensions have grown tremendously, right up there with Firefox, and without any of the headaches of them causing memory issues.

    What computer/laptop do you own?

I recently switched all of my computers over to Lenovo brand. I have a Lenovo all in one desktop, a Lenovo Ideapad laptop, and a Lenovo A1 Tablet. So far I've been very pleased with the build quality and operation of all 3 devices. I've had 3 Dell computers stop working on me in the past 6 years, and decided enough was enough,
  15. There are contest sites like Prizes.org where you can compete for projects. Whoever wins the given contest gets the cash prize. I've seen them go for around $500 on there, sometimes higher.
